Silicon Valley
This film is all about the rise of the pc or the personal computers and also shows the rivalry between the two super giants of computer world today, which is Steve Jobs, currently the CEO of Apple and Bill Gates, the CEO of Microsoft. In this movie, it shows the early days of Apple and Microsoft. There are scenes showing the early stages of the Apple computers with having Steve Jobs creating a commercial for their new Apple product. It shows the rivalries between the two companies, notably the two CEOs, which are younger during this time. This would give the viewers insight on what really happened during those early years. It also showed the way Apple was able to attain their style and where they were able to get the idea from, and also how Bill Gates helped IBM and how Microsoft initially started to create the computer interfaces and how it were able to get the idea, same from Apple, from. This movie shows how the computers were shaped up by those people involved. Most people would find this movie uninteresting, bt, for those people inclined to use technology, this is a nice and an informative movie.
Wall E
This is an animated movie about an old cleaning robot that is left on earth. Here, the robot is tasked on cleaning the earth which the humans left because there were too much garbage already on the planet. Thus, everyday, the cleaning robot cleans and tidies up the earth and all its companion was a tiny cockroach, but, a very intelligent one. I find this movie amusing because for the fact that the robot, by the way the name is wall e. He is the last of his cleaning robots and somehow, was able to attain emotions. Everyday, during cleaning he would find things that he would keep in his base. During one of his daily task, he was able to find a seedling. He kept it in hopes in being able to keep it alive. To think that a robot that was able to have a rational mind do his tasks everyday and acts like a normal human is nice. The animation of the movie was superbly done. Although it might seem that the movie is for children, one would could watch the movie and be able to see the hidden message of the movie. The people on this movie are awfully fat, having weak bones and relying on automated machines to be able to go around in their city. This reflects on the current happening in the world. People are becoming lazy and do not think about their health. And also, this clearly shows the problem with the way garbage is being disposed. The people rely too much on their technology, and thus destroyed the planet that sustained them. A wonderful movie having amusing characters and an underlying message to world about the state of our planet is currently in.
Surrogates
A world where pseudo-humans fills the city and having the real ones stay at their home, in the control pod of their replicates. This movie shows the advanced technology of replacing humans with robots and just let them control them in their own home. Although it was a break through, the people, became too reliant on their machines. This movie tells of the story of a cop, fed up with living in a fake world and run by the robots, solving a case of a murder of the renowned inventor of the machine. Things quickly escalates as he was able to piece the clues together, more sinister plans are being revealed along the way. The effects of the movie was wonderful but although it is wonderfully done, it is not as exciting as most robot movies are. There are nice action sequences but I think I feel that the movie lacks the way it was portrayed.
Eagle Eye
The movie Eagle eye is not that great actually with regards to its story and events. In this movie the government build the most intellegent machine that ever made who was given a control to all electonic devices or devices that is electrical dependent which is origically designed to listen to ongoing calls or it is design to gather information and investigate in connection to the threaths to the national security of US. And this said machine evolves into something bigger and evil who wants to eliminate all what so called threats to national security of US. Pure sci-fi, of course, but not labeled that way. Taken as reality, it's no wonder it's been widely panned and dismissed as too nonsensical to take seriously. Had it been promoted as sci-fi one wonders if it would have been perceived with more appreciation for its entertainment qualities. The far out premise, after all, easily fits into a comic strip framework which, when experienced by a viewer prepared to accept the incredible, might allow the enjoyment of exaggerated action and sympathetic characters being taken through a storm of dangers. Well it is not that fun movie however, this movie have capture the interest of many.
I, Robot
As a fan of Will Smith I can proudly say that this man do not have a movie that do not interest me. Lol. I love his movies! And I, Robot is one of his many good movies. Kudos to Isaac Asimov the American author and biochemist - the mind behind this great movie. Asimov invented what he called the now -famous "Three Laws of Robotics";"One, a robot may not injure a human being, or through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm. Two, a robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law. Three, a robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Laws." In this movie the people are served by the robots, manufactured by the U.S. Robotics Corporation, whose head is Lawrence Robertson. The robots are programmed to follow the three laws cited above, so they cannot, under any circumstance, hurt a human. And everything is controlled by a central computer called V.I.K.I., for Virtual Interactive Kinetic Intelligence, which cannot allow any mischief among the robots anywhere. Yet, when the father of robotics, Dr. Alfred Lanning, is found dead from a high fall in the central foyer of the USR headquarters building, Spooner is not so certain it's the suicide it appears to be. Spooner is suspicious of robots in general, having a long-standing prejudice against them verging on paranoia. He believes that robots may have had something to do with Lanning's death. Will Smith th detective here name Spooner something J investigate the Lanning’s death and discover that it is was not just a mere suicide but there is more into it. And to make the story short it is VIKI who was the one responsible for the death of Dr. Lanning for he have discovered that the supercomputer VIKI have evoloved into something more powerful and wants to control everything.
